Event Date: Friday, March 2nd, 2018

Event Type: Signle-way airbridge
Countries: Bahrain and UAE
Airports involved: OBBI and OMDB
How do I get the password to land?
You will be asked a simple question by Dubai Tower when established on the ILS relating to the arrival charts for your arrival. (STAR and ILS charts).
For example – if you are arriving on the VUTEB9C STAR for ILS RWY 30L you might be asked what altitude and speed restriction that applies at GITBO. Or you might be asked what is the MDA for CAT1 ILS 30L.
If you answer wrong – you will be asked to Go Around and follow the missed approach procedures or as advised by ATC. Then you can expect to be vectored back for another approach. During that time you can check the charts again for the correct answer.
On your second approach if you get the answer wrong again you will be sent around again, but this time expect to be vectored and diverted to Sharjah OMSJ airport for landing.
OBBI > OMDB : ASTAD UN318 ALSEM L305 KIVUS P559 PUSOT M322 DATOB : MAX FL430
All pilots are kindly requested to:
> Be prepared – have access to charts.
> Note the SID altitude restrictions and STAR speed restrictions.
> Be ready – you may be asked to enter holds, fly headings and speeds.
> Remember – Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.
> Maintain radio etiquette.
> Please plan Sharjah (OMSJ) as your alternant airport.
> Carry at least 20min holding fuel.
We suggest all pilots to use a freeware or a payware scenery as default sceneries in the flight simulators are out of date or airport does not exist.
A good pilot would never fly without charts!
